This week was kind of a crazy week. Finley was sick for two days and we didn't really do that much. In the beginning of the week we learned about how the moon orbits the earth. The moon has to be close enough to the earth so the moon just doesn't go out into space, and far enough away that it won't crash into the earth. The moon has to be the perfect distance. We watched this experiment where this kid hits a ball with ball with a mallet to keep it in orbit. The moon wants to go out into space, but the earth pulls it into it. So it rotates around. We did a kinematics paper where a guy would drop two objects of different weights. They would land at the same time because
"gravity" affects objects equally.
Joke
A class opening their chemistry exam found the following question:
“If H20 is water, what is H204?"
This was a quick question for most, but it took the student some thinking time.
Finally, he wrote down his answer:
"For drinking, washing, and cleaning."
